Providing education for boys aged 11-19 who have needs arising fom their autism spectrum conditions meant that the new staff room in this school needed to be a supportive, calm space for the staff where they could hold meetings, socialise and work. Using a muted soft palette, accoustic paneling to ensure sound was softened and clever zoning we provided them with inforrmal seating for large groups and individuals, a communal dining space, and individual offices for private discussions.
