About the consultation

Although each project is totally unique and we like to treat each one that way, this is roughly how our Chic Consultation runs.

With this package we focus on just one room, working closely with you to solve any design issues, so that you can renovate and refurbish a room in your house with style and confidence.

We start with sending you a tailored questionnaire and a document we have created to help explain all the different Interior Design Styles. We will then ask you to send us; photos/videos of the space, architects plans*, and recommend that you start saving images of interiors that you love on Pinterest or Houzz IdeaBooks. All this helps us to create a picture of what your need, discover your style preferences and understand your lifestyle.

We begin our journey with a meeting at the property (if possible, or an online meeting) to go through your brief and what you have sent us. We will then share with you our own Pinterest board of design ideas based on what we feel you will like, in the style you have chosen and also suitable for the space. If you have supplied us with architects plans we will have created your room using 3D software and put in a basic furniture layout to show you how the new space could look. If you don't have plans* then it is at this stage that we would measure up.

During this two hour meeting we will aim to cover as many of your main design concerns as possible e.g.: room layouts, materials, finishes, colourways, furniture, curtains and accessories. We will often bring fabric samples, paint swatches, wallpaper, flooring and suppliers catalogues it all depends on what help you require.

After the meeting we will update the visuals of your room on our 3D software adding your chosen furniture, paint colours, flooring and window treatments. If you needed us to source alternatives this is the time when we do this, making sure they are in stock and on budget. We will source 2-3 options.

Then finally we will supply you with hi resolution renders of the room, Mood boards (a digital collage of ideas) with details about each item that we suggested, and a 'Shopping list' a detailed list of 'where to source' what we discussed. By the end you’ll be able to visualise your new room, happy in the knowledge you’re equipped to complete your project cost effectively and stress-free.

* If you don't have existing plans and need us to measure up your room and draw up plans it is an additional £216/room or £288/open plan kitchen inc VAT.
