An attic conversion as part of an HMO student conversion. When we were working with the client it was clear that orange was a favourite colour so we used this as the starting point for our design.
Bedroom design
We've created a light and bright HMO bedroom working within the confines of an attic space and the eaves and designed a space for a room with study area and ensuite.
Colours
One of our favourite burnt oranges at the moment! Farrow & Ball's 'Charlotte's Lock' is used here to introduce orange into the neutral grey colour scheme. Dark grey is used on all the woodwork to create a smart, modern look.
Built in shelving in this alcove create additional storage whilst a huge wardrobe and a divan bed with drawers adds even more space and helps this student keep their room looking as good as new! We teamed industrial style lighting with geometric cushions and a modern print.
Desk space
A build in desk pace was designed to make academic work easy to settle down to. The light from Made adds a spot of orange at this end of the room and picks out the orange stitching on the desk chair.
